This is my reading map. I had to pick a word to find information about it. My word is expert. I did know this word and i could use in a sentence, but i did not know what it meant exactly.

So I used expert in this.

  1. The word expert according to dictionary.com was first seen around 1325 to 1375, it comes from the Latin word "expertus" which means tested, proved or experienced. An expert has skill because they have done these three things and thus mastered the task. In the bible the word expert comes up 6 times in the KJV. It's translated from the Hebrew word "sakal", which means to be intelligent, prudent, skillfully, have good success, wisdom or understanding. Some people dedicate there lives to words and there history, they are called etymologists. Alot of history has been discovered thanks to etymologists.

  2. Hello Katie,
I love the layout of your drawing, and the colors you have used, because it makes it so it's not too hard to see your writing.

I like finding the definitions to new words, because that means i've learned something new!

Next time in your post, could you please add a little more detail so we all have a clear vision on what you were doing?

Other than that, I loved your post and your work!
    Thanks,
